Rumor has run rampant the last week and half since the announcement of Disney buying Lucasfilm and that Star Wars Episode 7 is on the way.  Word has it now that Oscar winning screen writer Michael Arndt could be the front runner to draft the script.  He has seemingly turned in a 40 to 50 page treatment to Disney months before the official announcement of the Disney/Lucasfilm deal was even made.  The treatment is said to include older versions of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia and all three actors that played the original roles have expressed interest in returning to the franchise. His treatment will be sent to many top director's in Hollywood as Disney seems really set on making the most highly anticipated sequel of all time, truly something special.  Star Wars Episode 7 is due in theaters in 2015.

UPDATE: Deadline has seemed to confirm that Michael Arndt not only wrote a treatment for one film but for the entire new trilogy that is on the way.  They also confirmed that he has been tapped to write the script for Episode 7 once a director is brought on board so they can work closely together.
