Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Alternate Ending Revealed
This summer's Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes was one of the year's best. It's predecessor, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, was the huge surprise hit of 2011 and while it featured many nods to the original series of films from the 60's and 70's, it is now revealed that an even bigger nod may have been seen at the film's end had it finished this way. In Rise's alternate ending, we see an older, tattooed Cesar several months or possibly years even after the battle in San Fransisco in which he is climbing the Statue Of Liberty and looks out at the destruction of New York City. This of course is a direct nod to the ending of the 1968 original classic, Planet Of The Apes, starring Charlton Heston. Take a look at this incredible concept art of the never filmed alternate ending.
