Matthew Vaughn Wants To Make Hit-Girl Prequel Then Kick-Ass 3

Director Matthew Vaughn is talking up the Kick-Ass franchise again today saying about his plans to revive it.  he of course directed the first film and served as a producer on the lackluster second film.  Vaughn explained to Yahoo that “I'm not happily done with the franchise.  We’re working on an idea for a prequel of how Hit-Girl and Big Daddy become Hit-Girl and Big Daddy,” he said. “If we make that, hopefully that will be the sorbet for the people that didn’t like ‘Kick-Ass 2’ and then we can go off and make ‘Kick-Ass 3.’ I think we’ve got to do this prequel to regain the love that we had with ‘Kick-Ass.'  We have to get the script done next. It’s so far out there, you have no idea,”
He added that Kick-Ass 3 would take place in the far-east with a director like The Raid's Gareth Evans behind it and stars Aaron Taylor Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz back for teh sequel, though hit-Girl would likely be recast for the prequel.  So more Kick-Ass films could be on the way, we just have to wait and see!
