Robocop & The Ultra Police (1988)
Robocop was an ultra violent movie so what better way to sell it to the kids than a toy line called Robocop & The Ultra Police.  That's right you could act out the violent world of Robocop with toys at home kids!  Now to be fair the toy line was a tie-in with the syndicated cartoon of the same name but even then, who thought it was a good idea for a cartoon based on a movie that got an X rating from the MPAA upon first viewing!  The cartoon was simply called Robocop The Animated Series but Kenner bought the property and made several toys based on the show.  The toys included action figures which included cap action for gun popping effects, vehicles, and even role-playing material such as the Robo Helmet so the kids could act out being Robocop at home and save their neighborhoods!  All in good fun right!  Take a look at some of the toys below as well as a toy commetcial and comeback next week for a look at the animated series!
