Phil Lord & Chris Miller No Longer Directing The Han Solo Movie

In a huge surprise today it has been announced that directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are no longer directing the Han Solo Star Wars film.  Shooting began on the project in February and as the months rolled on before the cameras it seems the directors were not getting along with Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy and the duo has been removed from the film over "creative differences".  A new director will be announced very soon to finish the project which still has a few weeks of shooting left as well as reshoots scheduled for the Fall.  The film is still on track for it's May 2018 release date.

“Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon,” said Kathleen Kennedy in a statement to

“Unfortunately, our vision and process weren’t aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences’ but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew,” added Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
