Spider-Man (1967)

Spider-Man has been in several animated series over the years.  The most popular being Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and the 1994 Spider-Man The Animated Series.  The wall crawler first appeared in animation 50 years ago though in an animated series produced by Grantray-Lawrence Animation and Krantz Films and airing on ABC.  The show ran from September of 1967 to June 1970 for a total of 52 episodes over three seasons.  The show was a low budget production with animation reused quite often and Spider-Man's costume not even fully drawn hence why it's mostly just blue and red.  The show did however give us the famous theme song that everyone knows today and even made an appearance in the Marvel Studios logo of the recent Spider-Man: Homecoming.  The 1967 Spider-Man cartoon has a fond place in many peoples hearts as being their first foray into the world of the web slinger.   The show featured all of Spider-Man's rogue gallery as well as his supporting cast from the comic books.  This was back when Saturday mornings were for cartoons and we would wake up and hum the Spider-Man theme song as we went on adventures with Peter Parker and friends!  The show is available on DVD but is out of print and not easy to find.  It's a fun watch and full of fun memories of Spider-Man!
